Poling Operative – Driver

Premier People Recruitment (PPR) are an employment business who supply temporary labour operatives to an array of industries.

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Poling Operative – Driver to join our team. This is a subcontracting opportunity, paid CIS or PAYE via a Umbrella Company. The role involves the renewal of poles, provision of new poles and the recovery of redundant ones.

The duration of this contract is ongoing.

Essential Requirements:

• HGV Class 2 licence
• Valid CPC and understanding of Tachograph driving laws
• Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional communication skills
• Organised, self-motivated, and achievement-oriented
• Basic computer literacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Replace damaged, decayed, or defective poles in the Openreach network
• Install new poles to support customer connections
• Ensure all work meets client specifications and safety standards
• Maintain driving standards and legal compliance
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and company/client policies

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience working in the Openreach network
• Groundworks or civils experience
• IPAF 1B
• NPORS N107 or equivalent
• Full NRSWA Streetworks operative-level qualification
• 360 Excavator operation
• PASMA certification
