Hoist Driver

Job Description:

PPR are a construction based recruitment company supplying permanent and temporary staff across a range of different industries throughout the UK.

We are currently looking for experienced Hoist Drivers to join our client’s team.

£185 per day – paid PAYE via Umbrella

MUST have Copper/FTTP experience

IPAF 1B desirable – training can be provided

Immediate start – ongoing work – Monday to Friday

Your day-to-day tasks will involve taking calls from field-based engineers who require hoist assistance, travelling to meet them on site and providing, where safe to do so, support to complete fibre to the premises installations.

The work for this particular contract will require you to work at heights, using harnesses, ladders, or elevating platform, MEWPS, working within roadside joint locations and working in customers’ premises.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Hoist Ipaf 1b licence holder.
• Previous experience in a commercial driving role.
• Previous experience working at a roadside.
• Willing to travel to and from various job locations within your working area.
• Be prepared to work away from home to meet operational requirements if needed.
• Be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Visit and work within customer’s premises.
• Ability to work alone using your own initiative.
• After training, work using handheld testing equipment and tablets etc.
• Be flexible regarding working hours as you will need to support field teams when required.
• If required, be prepared to work weekends.
• Attend accredited training courses if required.
• Be computer literate and after training be able to understand network plans.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Be prepared to undergo a DBS check (formally CRB).
• Full UK driving license held for a minimum of 2 years.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• NRWSA Unit 2 accreditation, training can be provided.
• Hoist Ipaf 1b license, training can be provided.
• Copper provision experience
